 Marc is a professional engineer with 25 years' experience in engineering, construction, and applied sciences. He earned a bachelor's degree in ocean engineering and a master's degree in civil engineering. His original PE is in the environmental practice area, and he is licensed in Missouri, Illinois, and Florida. Marc is also a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) through the US Green Building Council.
Prior to joining the Sage Commercial / Sage Homebuilders team, Marc was Director of Engineering and Construction for MCI and Verizon telecommunications companies. There he was responsible for the successful delivery of high-performance office and high-technology telecom data center space across the country, from real estate search and capital planning through construction and commissioning. Marc and his team commissioned over $500M in construction, from system upgrade/optimization to new data center buildings. Before that, Marc was Principal Engineer at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution in Ft. Pierce, FL, where he was responsible for design and construction of facilities, laboratories, and equipment.
Marc is active in local government and donates his time to several St. Louis nonprofit agencies. In the last 10 years he has served on a DuPage County (Chicago, IL) stormwater and floodplain management commission, and chaired the ecology and environment committee for Clayton, MO. Presently he is on the Clayton Planning and Zoning Commission, the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Science St. Louis, and is a volunteer at the St. Louis Zoo.

 For 10 years Mike has been conceptualizing and creating successful businesses, in such diverse areas as fashion eyewear and residential development. The common thread throughout is a passion for good design – aesthetically and functionally.
In 2003, Mike started a historic renovations construction company in St. Louis – City Abode, LLC. The company eventually widened its scope to include rental property ownership, commercial development, and new construction projects. Mike later started Urban Renovation, LLC, in 2005.
On a personal note – Mike is married and has one son. He enjoys traveling, golf, outdoor activities and spending time with his family and friends.

 Rick has over a decade of experience in residential real estate development, construction, and investment. Rick attended SLU Graduate School prior going to work for the Missouri Botanical Garden redeveloping 4 adjacent neighborhoods, under the auspices of the Garden District Commission. The scope of this redevelopment included planning and implementation of the acquisition of 135 parcels under Chapter 99 and via a Chapter 351 Redevelopment Corporation. Some homes in the redevelopment areas were restored, utilizing federal and state Historic Tax Credits and the MO Neighborhood Preservation Tax Credit program.
Towards the completion of this effort, Rick left the position to head up Legacy Group, LLC, a company focused on high end restorations of residential buildings, investment properties, and consulting on Historic Tax Credit Projects. As the focus of Legacy begin to shift to new construction, Rick – along with two investing partners – determined that a new era of building was dawning, and that a new company was needed to maximize the potential of that trend – thus the birth of Sage Homebuilders & Sage Commercial.
On a personal note – Rick lives in Creve Coeur with his wife and 3 children. He likes outdoor recreation, and playing & listening to a wide range of music.

 Jason is a veteran of the Internet boom, having worked in Internet marketing for over a decade. He entered the industry having designed a model for selling real estate via the Web. It is his perception that green building will be to this decade what the Internet was to the last – an ultra-fast adoption of a new concept that we will soon wonder how we ever lived without. After honing his entrepreneurial skills with Internet start ups, Jason created two small businesses – Stone Foundations, LLC, a real estate investment company with rental property in the City, and Stone Development, LLC, an historic redevelopment company, which tackled projects using State Historic Tax Credits to renovate and restore dilapidated homes. Jason is a licensed Realtor in the State of Missouri.
On a personal note – Originally from Springfield, IL, Jason now resides in Glendale, MO with his wife. When he is not undertaking the extensive green renovation of his 1950s ranch, he can be found with his nose buried deep in a book.
