Photos: Renovations ![]() ![]() Taking advantage of the materials that make up an existing home (rather than tearing it down) can be a terrific green approach. This home in Glendale, MO is getting a second story addition, rear addition and a new green deck. ![]() ![]() The rear of the home is nearly complete. The long-lasting fiber cement shingle siding is up, and the also long-lasting composite material decking is in place. ![]() Lots of (low-e, Argon gas) windows mean lots of natural daylighting, plus a higher level of insulation and reduced radiant heat transfer. ![]() This interior has been gutted, but the floors have been protected for refinishing. Soon we'll add a blown in cellulose insulation and caulk and seal all of the gaps and cavities to prevent air flow. ![]() Out front we've added custom built columns to improve curb appeal. |
